Another great weekend

On friday evening, 4 extraordinary gentlemen (dhawal, daniel, MICKEY, and me) went for a extraordinary trip. - a 12 hours drive to jaw-dropping Grand Canyon. The view is simply manificient, nothing that I have ever seen before.

Reach the doorstep of our tour guide a.k.a my sengkang neighbour cum my eccentric friend kuoping's best matey (jow shiow) at around 1030. She is having her work and travel at canyon. how nice. After breakfast, we set out for our hike on the bright angel trail. The trail is 9 miles long or 18 miles for a roundtrip. Of course like any other enthuaist, dhawal, daniel and Mickey wanted to do the full 9 miles. (of course I am skeptical that we can do it)

The hike down was relatively easy downwards sloping all the way. However the unforgiving weather means we decide to head back after reaching the 3 miles mark. The hike back was real tough, climbing up the slope in an extreme hot weather. All of us hike back at our own pace as it is too tiring. Many thigh felt like it is going to cramp many times.

On the way back, only js was hiking with me. It was at this time that I discover js knew martial art like kp as well. She doesn't seems tired from the hike and was like walking infront of me all the times. She did not even pant at all while I am trying hard to catch my breath. Many times we stop to take a break because I have to if not she would have continue walking. I am so amazed by her. At around 5p.m, we made it back to the top. I still cannot blieve I managed to do it. I thought I am gonna give up and call for the helicopter to come evacuate me. lol! (I am serious)

After the hike, we headed down to vegas. I play crap at monte carlos and it was real fun. dhawal and I won more than $100 in less than 1 hour. However everything was gone by daybreak. :(

Skydiving @ Lodi

Finally summer quarter is over. Hope I didn't do too badly for my paper. Anyway is time to enjoy now before the fall quarter start.

Straight after the exam, I head straight to milipitas for a MJ session. Extended my MJ winning streak in California. I 一家赢三家。Sad thing is we only play 10 cents 20 cents. sigh~ We played till 4 a.m and I drove back on 101 in the wee hours at 90MPH. Seeing 2 police patrols stopping cars on the way doesn't deter me from going at that speed as I am trying to head home fast to catch some sleep before the Man utd and Newcastle game.

Newcastle played really well and I am really impressed by K.K impact on the team. Suddenly everyone seems to be on top-form.

After the game, I went for the eargerly anticipated Skydiving at Lodi with my batchmates and Vikram from the 14th Batch. It was a great great experience. Video below.

time for some updates...

Time to clear away those cobwebs.

Haven't update for quite sometime. Have moved to a new apartment which double the rent I have to pay. But at least now I have my own room.

Went to seattle/Vancouver. Quite a nice city. I find Seattle especially relaxing. Good place to retire too.

Mid term coming and the more I study the more confuse I become. Guess I have loss my sharpness after playing too much. Time to buck up.

Is always a pain to upload photos in blogger.

Birthday celebration with my group mates. Got another one with my household but i never get to see those pictures.

Excessive Heat Alerts

Today I walked into the office, I was the only guys wearing a jeans to work. All my colleagues came in berms and slipper. They made a great choice.

News reported that temperature in the bay area hit an all time record today with places reaching more than 100 degrees. (-32 then divide by 2 to convert to celcius)

I was walking to meet luah n cas (b block couple came to visit me) and it was so damn hot that I felt like I was in Singapore. After the lunch, whole afternoon i was feeling a bit giddy. This got me worrying that I won't be able to adapt back to Singapore's weather. lol!

I drove to work today and I park at a metered parking without paying. It was 4P.m when I last checked my car and there was no ticket. Hope I get lucky and found a place that those suckers doesn't come and check the meters. Or was it the weather that they all stayed in office.

May the heat go away soon.

Random

It's been a long time since I write something. Guess I am not going to post any pictures in my blog. It is just too troublesome. I will post them in facebook instead so if anyone is keen can go take a look.

Have been busy recently. School started, more responsibilities from work but is more fulfilling. Been to a few places recently which includes vegas where I loss abit of money, tahoe for snowboarding and camping in big sur.

Wayne visited me again this time in San Francisco. Was fun but tiring. To all my friends taking their exams soon, study hard and to those graduating all the best in your future endeavours.
